Our Story

Casacito was born from something deeply personal—home.

“La casa” represents more than a place. It is the feeling of belonging, of warmth, of family—both the ones I grew up with and the ones I continue to hold close. It reminds me of the moments I miss and the memories that shaped me.

“Cafecito” brings me back to early mornings with my grandmother, the smell of Cuban coffee filling the air before the day began. It reminds me of visits to Tampa, where home was always open, welcoming, and full of life. There was always food, laughter, and a sense that you were never alone.

Those moments created a feeling that has stayed with me—a sense of comfort, connection, and being truly seen. While life has changed, and those moments may not exist in the same way today, the meaning behind them has never left.

Casacito Foundation was created to bring that feeling back—not just for me, but for others.

It is a space rooted in warmth, community, and care. A place where individuals can feel heard, supported, and welcomed exactly as they are. Through services, outreach, and connection, our goal is to recreate that sense of home—so that no one feels alone in the world.

    While The Luminescent Mind focuses on clinical mental health services, Casacito was built to extend that care beyond the therapy room—into the community, into everyday life, and into spaces where people may not otherwise have access to support.

    Together, they share the same foundation: a commitment to healing, connection, and meaningful change.
