MA.,
Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern
I believe therapy offers a space to slow down, reflect, and better understand the experiences that shape how we think, feel, and relate to others. My goal is to create a supportive and steady environment where clients feel safe exploring challenges, gaining new perspectives, and developing tools that foster resilience and meaningful change.
I work with children, teens, families, and individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, life transitions, and relationship challenges. My approach is grounded in trauma-informed and identity-affirming care, with attention to how family dynamics, cultural experiences, and how life circumstances influence emotional wellbeing. Together, we explore patterns, build practical coping strategies, and create space for growth that feels both supportive and sustainable.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in pediatric and medical settings as a Certified Child Life Specialist supporting children, adolescents, and families through complex emotional and medical experiences. This background continues to shape my developmentally informed approach to therapy and my belief that resilience grows in safe, supportive relationships.
I have graduate training in Clinical Psychology with a focus on Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University, as well as Child and Adolescent Development from University of Minnesota and undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin. My work integrates trauma-informed care, attachment and family systems perspectives, cognitive-behavioral strategies, and mindfulness-based tools to support clients in building clarity, confidence, and stronger connections in their lives.
